Paul Fielding has been playing chess since he was 6 years old. He is a Senior Postal Master having had a Postal Rating over 2500 and was ranked 4th in the USA in postal chess. His highest accomplishment is the title of 5th United States Correspondence Chess Champion. At over the board tournament chess Paul is a Life Master and a National Master. Winner of many tournaments, he was also once rated in the top hundred in the USA in quick chess (games taking less than an hour.) Paul was invited to several Futurity invitational tournaments. He played on many winning High School and College teams and enjoys playing in US Team Events. His team has won the Pennsylvania Team Champions title at the US Amateur Team East event five times. He has run chess tournaments and held many offices in chess clubs across the years. Paul has written articles on chess in several different publications and books. He has been teaching or coaching throughout his chess career, including many classes for Shining Knights. Paul currently offers private lessons.
